BISA Objectives
The British International Spa Association was set up to promote minimum standards of quality and service within the Spa Industry, and to improve and promote education for spa therapists.
The main objectives of the BISA Council are:
- To establish minimum standards of quality and service
- To act as an educational platform for the public
- To act as an educational platform for trade outlets involved in spa services
- To work alongside spa centres to advise and source hardware and consumables
- To supervise training schools designed to raise the UK standard in spa treatments and therapy, and certify a spa therapy qualification for appointed schools
- To administer a grading system for spa outlets
- To ensure that standards are upheld through the periodic monitoring of standards and facilities at spas and schools.
- To promote the association and its members through public relations and the media
- To inform its members and encourage participation through newsletters, professional and social gatherings
